A SWISS TAKE

A SWISS TAKE is a collection of silk scarves with photo prints by the Swiss designer Judith Hugener
The essence of Switzerland in a scarf

“How can I combine fashion and photography?  What is at the forefront of these two media today? I asked myself that question. A SWISS TAKE is the answer.” (J.H.)

A SWISS TAKE scarves are made from heavy silk satin that is three times the weight one would normally expect in a scarf. The fabric is substantial and soft; it cools in the warmth and warms in the cold. The satin weave has a wondrously lustrous finish that sets the colours agleam and aglow.

Judith Hugener’s professional life outside Switzerland has sharpened her focus on her native land. Her motifs, found far away from the tourist track, have both grandeur and humour; they delve into nature and delight in the quotidian. The motifs are all photographed in Switzerland. Each design comes with its own GPS coordinate to find the place where the photograph habe been taken.

A SWISS TAKE scarves are printed using the latest digital technology by company with over a hundred years of experience in textile printing and they are entirely free of harmful substances.
The edges are hand rolled by independent artisans in Switzerland.

The production process cannot be rushed. It takes a good two months to create a scarf.

Each design is available in three sizes,
42 × 42cm  -  90 × 90cm  -  135 × 135 cm
and in a limited edition. Every scarf is delivered in a beautiful box with a certificate of authenticity. Prototypes are available for press, stylists and photographers.  The production starts 2024.
